Hay prendas que llegan cada temporada intentando reinventarse… y luego están los shorts que no necesitan presentación, solo actitud. El pantalón corto ya no es una única categoría. Esta temporada se divide en tres claros protagonistas: shorts clásicos, bermudas sastre y los nuevos favoritos del street style… los shorts deportivos.

Los shorts, siguen teniendo su magia. Son más espontáneos, más libres. Funcionan cuando quieres sentirte ligera, natural, sin normas. Pero aquí está la clave: no todo depende de la prenda, sino de cómo la llevas. Son perfectos para looks desenfadados y funcionan especialmente bien con tops ajustados, camisas abiertas o básicos sencillos. Este año, se llevan más limpios, menos rotos y con una silueta más pulida. Os debo ser sincera, me declaro fan incondicional de ellos en verano. Los shorts tradicionales siguen siendo un básico imprescindible. El denim se mantiene fuerte, pero con cortes más limpios y favorecedores: tiro alto, bajos rectos y menos rotos. También destacan versiones en lino o algodón en colores neutros, perfectos para looks fáciles pero bien resueltos. Sin lugar a dudas son los reyes del street style.

This year, they're worn cleaner, less ripped, and with a more polished silhouette. I have to be honest, I'm a huge fan of them in the summer. Traditional shorts remain an essential basic. Denim is still going strong, but with cleaner, more flattering cuts: high-waisted, straight hems, and fewer rips. Linen or cotton versions in neutral colors are also standouts, perfect for easy yet polished looks. Without a doubt, they're the kings of street style.

Las bermudas no son solo “shorts largos”. Son estructura, son equilibrio, son ese punto exacto entre comodidad y sofisticación. Elevan cualquier look sin esfuerzo. Con una camisa fluida, un top especial o incluso una blazer ligera, consiguen algo que no siempre es fácil: verte arreglada sin parecer que lo has intentado demasiado. Dicen que son las verdaderas protagonistas de la temporada aunque discrepo totalmente. De corte sastre, en lino o tejidos estructurados, se posicionan como la alternativa elegante al short tradicional. Firmas y prescriptoras de estilo apuestan por largos a la rodilla o ligeramente por encima, con cintura alta y pinzas que estilizan la figura. Las bermudas continúan su ascenso como la opción más elegante. Son, sin duda, la alternativa sofisticada al short de siempre.

- Con blazer a conjunto para un look sofisticado tipo “traje de verano”.

- Con sandalias planas o tacón sensato para elevar el outfit sin perder comodidad.

En cuanto a colores, dominan los neutros: blanco, beige, negro y tonos tierra. Aunque también aparecen versiones en colores vibrantes o estampados para las más atrevidas.

With a flowy shirt, a statement top, or even a light blazer, they achieve something that isn't always easy: looking put-together without seeming like you've tried too hard. They're said to be the true stars of the season, although I completely disagree. Tailored, in linen or structured fabrics, they're positioned as the elegant alternative to traditional shorts. Designers and style influencers are opting for knee-lengths or slightly above, with a high waist and darts that flatter the figure. Bermuda shorts continue their rise as the most elegant option. They are, without a doubt, the sophisticated alternative to classic shorts.

How to wear them?

- With a matching blazer for a sophisticated "summer suit" look.

- With flat sandals or sensible heels to elevate the outfit without sacrificing comfort.

- With basic T-shirts for a more relaxed yet polished contrast.

As for colors, neutrals dominate: white, beige, black, and earth tones. However, there are also versions in vibrant colors or prints for the more daring.

Y luego están los shorts deportivos, que han pasado del gimnasio a dominar el estilo urbano. Tejidos técnicos, cinturillas elásticas, cortes amplios y ese aire noventero que arrasa. Marcas y prescriptoras los combinan con todo: desde camisetas oversize hasta camisas abiertas o incluso blazers, creando ese contraste entre lo deportivo y lo pulido que define la moda actual.

Brands and influencers are pairing them with everything: from oversized t-shirts to open shirts or even blazers, creating that contrast between sporty and polished that defines current fashion.

As for colors, two clear trends coexist: neutrals (white, black, beige) for more refined looks and vibrant or retro tones for a sporty feel.
