Y tú, ¿eres Indomitable?

 

Lo que os vengo hoy a contar es algo que me hace bastante ilusión, me gusta ver como mis amigos luchan y luchan por sus sueños (reinventándose tantas veces en el camino como haga falta) hasta hacerlos realidad. La entrada que hoy os traigo es claro ejemplo de ello.

What I am here to tell you today is something that makes me quite excited, I like to see how my friends fight and fight for their dreams ( reinventing themselves as many times as necessary) until they make them come true. The post that I bring you today is a clear example os this.

 Conocí a Fran creo que hace diez años aproximadamente, fuimos compañeros de trabajo y conectamos rápidamente, a los dos nos perdía el mundo de la moda, podíamos pasar horas y horas comentando todo lo que acontecía en el momento con gran fascinación ( creo que nuestro punto de unión fue nuestra adorada Leandra Medine, apenas conocida, fresca, nosotros ya sabíamos los puntos clave de su estilo , a raíz de aquello pasamos de compañeros de trabajo a amigos y comentaristas de tendencias). Cambió de empresa y de competencias ( siempre dentro del mundo de la moda) pero la amistad siguió. Hace unos meses, en plena pandemia me contó que tenía un nuevo proyecto entre manos con Elisabet (su chica) y que me encantaría, no podía estar más en lo cierto. Elisabet, venía de un mundo totalmente diferente (ella trabajaba en banca) hasta que intervino el azaroso destino y los presentó. Fue entonces cuando a ella le picó la curiosidad de conocer más el mundo del retail y decidió realizar un máster en comercio. Empezó a trabajar para "un grande de la moda" en este país (el maestro) a nivel internacional.

A few months ago, in the midst of a pandemic, he told me that he had a new project in hand with Elisabet ( his girl) and that I would love to, I couldn't be more right. Elisabet, came from a totally different world ( she worked in a bank) until radon fate intervened and introduced them. It was then that she was curious to learn more about the world of retail and decided to take a masters degree in commerce. She began to work for a "great in fashion" ins this country ( the teacher) internationally. 

 Pues resulta, que el nuevo proyecto de esta pareja tan ideal llegó en mayo de este año y se llama DISTAILOR. A muchos de vosotros seguro que os suena pero para los que no ahora mismo os explico. DISTAILOR es una nueva marca que llega para quedarse, haciéndose un hueco y demostrando que son creadores de sus propios códigos y sus propias fórmulas, reinventando lo cánones establecidos pero tratándolos con mucho respeto ya que como ellos mismos afirman son la base sobre la que se asienta DISTAILOR.

As it turns out, the new project of this ideal couple arrived in May of this year and is called DISTAILOR. I am sure it sounds familiar to many of you, but for those os you who don't, I'll explain now. DISTAILOR is a new brand that is here to stay, making a niche for itself and proving that they are creators of their own codes and their own formulas, reinventing the established canons but treating them with great respect, since as they themselves affirm, they are the basis on which they are seats DISTAILOR.

Es una palabra que se le ocurrió a Él hace años y creo que encaja a la perfección con la filosofía de la marca. DIS, lo contrario en inglés, nos encontramos con la primera negación; TAILOR, sastre, la importancia de los pequeños detalles de la sastrería. DISTAILOR, el nombre tachado, la segunda negación. Doble negación se convierte en afirmación. Por lo tanto DISTAILOR SI o SI. Toda una declaración de intenciones, llegan para quedarse, está claro.

It's a word that he came up with years ago and I think it fits perfectly of the brand. DIS, the opposite in English; we find the first negation; TAILOR, the importance of the small details of tailoring. DISTAILOR, the crossed-out name, the second negation. Double negation becomes affirmation. Therefore DISTAILOR YES or YES. A whole declaration of intent they are here to stay, it is clear. 

  Han llegado hasta aquí para demostrar que adaptarse a los nuevos tiempos es fácil, para cambiar las cosas sin sentido y revalorizar las que lo tienen. Evidentemente, no son una firma más. Son una chicos con la cabeza muy bien amueblada, con carisma y una sensibilidad exquisita en cuanto a tendencias y moda se refiere. En su primera colección ya me han convencido: raza, ADN y fidelidad a un estilo propio que ellos mismos destilan a raudales. En sus tejidos, prima la comodidad y la calidad.

They have come this far to show that adapting to new times is easy, to change things without meaning and revalue those that have it. Obviously, they are not just another signature. They are a couple with very well furnished heads, with charisma and an exquisite sensitivity when it comes to trend and fashion. In their first colecciona they have already convinced me: race, DNA and fidelity to their own style that they themselves pour out in abundance. In its fabrics, comfort prevails.

Su lema, ser "Indomitable" (indomable en inglés). Con el que quieren reflejar su inconformismo con lo establecido, reivindicar los grandes clásicos desde otra perspectiva, sus inquietudes, un nuevo punto de vista fresco con el que dan en el clavo.

Its motto, to be " Indomitable" ( indomitable in English). With which they want to reflect their nonconformity with the established, claim the great classics from another perspective, their concerns, a fresh new point of view with which they hit the nail on the head.
